About our Director of Training

GLRC, Inc. has partnered with Mary Held, President of Mary Held & Associates, as Director of Training for GLRC training programs. Mary is a nationally recognized business consultant with senior leadership team experience in Fortune 100 and Fortune 1000 organizations. She has over 20 years of successful experience in management and human resource development, and her expertise includes leadership development, performance management, team development, coaching and training.

Mary's mission is based on the "people factor"...the most critical factor that drives organizational success...the workforce. People solve problems, serve customers and sell your products. They create your competitive advantage. They are the pathway to productivity and profitability. But only if they have the right skills, knowledge, tools and environment to support their success. Mary has a proven track record in helping organizations engage, develop and retain people at all levels though customized resources as performance management systems, leadership development, management coaching, team development, training and employee surveys.

Mary is an active member of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), the International Society for Performance Improvement, and the Human Resources Association of Central Ohio. Her community leadership includes board positions with Goodwill Columbus and the Council for Ethics in Economics. She holds a Masters Degree in human resource development from The Ohio State University and a Bachelors Degree from the University of Akron.
